Cement Blanket (also known as Concrete Canvas or Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat / GCCM) is an innovative geotechnical material that combines the flexibility of geotextile fabric with the strength of concrete.
It consists of two layers of geotextile fabric that encapsulate a specially formulated dry concrete mixture. The underside is backed with an HDPE waterproof membrane to ensure complete impermeability after hardening.
Installation is remarkably simple: just lay it, spray water or submerge in water, and the blanket undergoes a hydration reaction — reaching 80% of its final strength within 24 hours without any on-site mixing equipment or formwork.
